"511" is the perfect mix for most of your tropical plants that live in containers or pots. It is made from a mixture of pine bark, perlite and diatomaceous earth, with added lime to adjust the pH so it is on the slightly acidic side, which most plants need, with a small amount of sphagnum peat added to give moisture retention and binding, It is light weight and provides good aeration for healthy roots. It does not provide any nutrients and your plants will need to be fed on very small amounts of fertiliser at each watering. All mixes come with full instructions for use.
