Acerola is native to South America, Southern Mexico and Central America, but is also being grown as far as north of Texas and in subtropical areas of Asia, like in India. It is known for being extremely rich in Vit C, although it contains Vit A, B1, B2 and B3 as well as carotenoids and bioflavonoids which have antioxidant effects. The plant will fruit from year 3, is tolerant to pruning and is easily container grown and will still set plenty of fruit in the UK. Grown in 12cm Pot.
