This fine climber from Yunnan in south west China is probably the hardiest and can be grown outdoors against a wall in the warmer parts of the UK. A beautiful, vigorous and graceful tendril climber, it has small, leathery leaves, attractively and unusually deeply two-lobed, a feature typical of most members of the genus, Bauhinia. In summer, it bears drooping clusters of exotic, orchid-like, two inch wide, pink flowers with purple veins. Definitely worth a trial anywhere! All my plants have been grown from seed and this variety is a fast vining type Bauhinia. Presented in a 3 litre pot, similar to pictures shown.
