Cherimoya is a sub-tropical tree that produces the well known fruit "Custard Apple", considered to be one of the best fruits of the world. Unfortunately, they have a short shelf life and are difficult to transport and harvest. The cherimoya's excellent rich and creamy pulp, with a hint of a fruity flavour, makes it an excellent dessert fruit, which is also now becoming increasingly popular in temperate zones.

The trees are fast growing, producing fruit from seed after about 3-4 years. Fruits are long from 5-15cm, and sometimes weighing over 2kg. Harvest fruits when skin turns slightly yellow or pale green, or when the skin is soft to a little touch.

The cherimoya is sub-tropical and generally quite hardy to 0'c, when mature. It will need to be container grow, in most areas of the UK. Winter temps between 0-13'c and a summer temp of 18-26'c,

The seeds are generally straight forward to germinate, and full written instructions will be provided.
