Musa Basjoo is a great hardy Banana which provides stunning tropical foliage to any garden. It has the typical Banana "look" and will make you feel you are in the tropics, when growing in your garden. It is a very easy starter Banana to grow, all it needs is water and fertiliser to grow literally in front of your eyes, It can be container grown or planted in ground. It will grow larger when planted in ground, but will need some kind of protection during winter, as it is frost tender and will die back to the ground in frost. There are many ways to protect the stem during winter, which means you can allow the tree to get bigger each year. eventually reaching over 20 feet! . It does not produce any edible fruit, but can produce stunning and unusual flowers, Musa's usually produce "pups", or small baby plants around it, meaning you will soon have a lovely group of bananas in your garden. Stem Length 80cm+. Will be sent with leaves cut back and soil around roots. Leaves grow back quickly.
