Grow your own tropical red-skinned, white-fleshed Dragon Fruit (Pitahaya Hylocereus) from seed. The seeds will need a soil-less mix and some bottom heat and light to germinate within 1 month. The small seedlings will gradually form a mini cactus shape over a few months and then can be carefully transplanted into larger pots. The plants grow best when they are kept above 20'c. The fruit produced tastes better than any shop bought fruit. Unlike normal cactus, these are tropical cactus and like LOTS of water and fertilise, to grow and produce fruit. Let the soil just dry in between waterings. May need to be staked as will grow long!
